The new test was prepared by Educational Testing Service of Princeton New Jersey as was the original AAT. It is expected that the new test is an improvement over the original test and that it will continue to be a valuable function in counseling person considering an actuarial career.

Description: This interesting article is a recounting of the author’s recent experience on TWA flight 355, which was hijacked by Croatian nationalists. The article discusses statistical odds, and more importantly, the ethical issues from the viewpoint of the passengers and the hijackers, as well as the philosophy of the approach taken by the airline and the governments involved.
